Welcome to my Passion!
Stoked to share my love for woodworking with you and let you learn about my story!
My journey into woodworking began in high school, where I discovered a passion for working with my hands in woodshop class. I'd stay late after school, completely absorbed in projects, losing track of time as I learned and experimented with new techniques. But it wasn’t until I became a father that woodworking truly became a vital part of my life.
When my wife was pregnant with our first child, I found myself overthinking and worrying about the new role I was about to take on as a father. One of my goals was to step away from the distractions of my phone and get off the couch, so I turned to woodworking to clear my mind and find joy. It became my “secret code” to help me relax, be creative, and explore my own abilities. I rediscovered the power of creating something with my hands and the sense of pride that comes with it.
What makes my work unique is my dedication to collaboration. I want each client to feel involved and completely satisfied with the final product, so I often create renderings or provide samples of wood finishes and colors before committing to a design. This helps ensure we're on the same page, and the result is something both of us can be proud of. My approach to woodworking is a mix of curiosity, learning, and growth. I don't follow a strict process, but I do learn something valuable from every project I take on. For example, when I made my first epoxy river table for a local coffee company, I had no clue what I was doing—but I dove in headfirst. Along the way, I learned invaluable lessons: how to handle thick epoxy, how to avoid micro-bubbles, and how to refine my techniques to improve quality with each project.
My mission is to create pieces that not only serve a function but also bring joy and craftsmanship into people's lives. If you're looking for a custom project or unique woodworking piece, I’d love to collaborate with you to bring your vision to life.
